2019: The last time we attended a car show to promote Autism Awareness, something very close to our heart. Then we were supported by our small business, Lumen Trendz. Five years later, we’re now Stylin Werkz but have not had an opportunity to attend any shows. Our kids have grown. Our little guy is now a 3-year high school graduate, overcoming so much and getting ready to attend college. We’ve all grown and pushed forward with life.
Recently, our youngest son who is now 15 mentioned to me he misses attending shows. And I said “me too”! And it got me thinking. Can we get back into participating in events? Will our Autistic son, now entering college, still want to attend? Would he be able to openly talk with strangers about his experience? Could we provide helpful information to others experiencing what we did? It just might be something we need to really talk about as a family.
